Football for a laugh

It’s not just for fun, though it certainly should be a laugh. COMEDIANS vs HIBS Under 17s Girls Charity Football Match is a fundraising event based on a contest between Fringe comedians and Hibs Girls on Sunday 9 August at 2pm. It’s free to get into Meadowbank Stadium but donations go to The Junction, a local charity supporting young people in Leith and North East Edinburgh.   Last year the comedians lost  6-5.  This year they say booze and late nights will not affect a new healthier team.  Hibs Girls will be managed by Edinburgh based comedian Jojo Sutherland (she has a solo show at the Stand during the Fringe) who’s daughter Ciara is the Hibs girls captain.

  1. Hello there,

I live in a tenement block – 2 St Peter’s Buildings, Gilmore Place, Edinburgh EH3 9PG. Well over a year ago someone left a large black plastic Blackwall compost convertor in our common stair hall entrance. No one has claimed it since then.

If you would like it for Redbraes Community Garden please contact me email – paulettehill@rocketmail.com or phone – 07753506076 – and arrange for it to be collected. Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best,
    Paulette
