Pop stars, pundits and politicians – with events featuring Annie Lennox, Dennis Healey and Evan Davies, we are tempted to book tickets for everything in this year’s Festival of Politics programme. As many events are free, that would not break the bank. And even the celebrity spots cost just £6 which compares favourably with Fringe events.
The festival starts on 20 August with Who Pays the Piper, a debate on the funding of Scottish Culture and ends on Saturday 23 August with comedian Mark Thomas taking a look at The Funny old Business of politics.
See what we mean? So far Leith Open Space has booked tickets for debates on Interculturalism, human trafficking, global economics and the young people’s forum on climate change. But there is so much more we are tempted to investigate. For more details see the Festival of Politics link on the Hub website.
